At Proclamation Ministries we believe the Church needs a new Reformation. To that end God has called us to proclaim the truth of the Gospel of Christ in the context of relationship, to confront the Church to return to "true truth" and to disciple and encourage people to grow in their faith in order to make a difference in the world about them.
Dr. Stuart writes his own blog called Jude 3, which is taken from the Book of Jude. Although Dr. Stuart would love to encourage his followers about a common salvation, he felt the necessity to exhort believers to contend for the faith that has been handed down to us by Christ and His disciples. Like Jude, he is concerned with those that have subtly crept into teaching positions in the church, redefining the gospel and promoting a Christ of their imagination. Peter also warned of false teachers in the church who secretly introduced destructive heresies, even denying the Master. They followed their own sensuality and maligned the way of truth (2 Peter 2:1-2). The sad truth is these teachers are found in every age of the church and teach a doctrine that tickles the ears of the naive and unsuspecting (2 Timothy 4:3). The Evangelical Church must wake up, defend truth, and promote the Christ of Scripture. An extension of promoting truth is the promotion of peace among believers. Conflict in the church is rampant with people living for the Christ of their imagination rather than submitting to the Christ of Scripture. The result is the pursuit of one's preferences, which leads to disagreements over music, vision, and rule in the church. Dr. Stuart applies peacemaker principles so that Christians will live Romans 12:18 and seek peace with all people as far as it is possible within their own power.
